It began three years ago tomorrow. We took the train from Albany to our over night destination. We had never done that before. The scenery was so green and the hills rolled out right in front of us as we passed farms where there were sheep and even horses that lulled lazily in the pastures. They were all there in that picture I had so carefully framed in my mind when I knew the route and way we were going. The river, the bumping of the train on the tracks and the evenness of that ride was present all the way to Union Station. This was a gift you see, a planned excursion and a rues to get me to fall in love... I think. And, to my surprise and his...the affair began that very evening. Under the stars, through the glasses of wine and Champagne and even in the amber shade of my beer bottle. I saw through his eyes my reason and my love beginning to grow. "This affair would last a life time," I thought to myself. And a more thoughtful self said, "I hope it lasts at least that long and maybe even longer!"
